Observability that finds problems before your customers do.
Metrics, logs and traces in one place, dashboards per service, and alerts tied to real user impact. I run this stack in production every day: 40+ Grafana dashboards, 30+ alert rules and a Loki to Slack alerting pipeline with deduplication.
You find out about outages from customers.
Logs everywhere
Logs are spread across pods, VMs and cloud consoles, so debugging starts with a scavenger hunt.
Alert fatigue
Hundreds of alerts fire every week and everyone has learned to ignore them.
No baseline
Nobody knows what normal latency or error rate looks like, so nobody notices when it changes.
A monitoring bill that grows
High cardinality metrics and verbose logs quietly push the observability bill up every month.
What the engagement covers.
- 01
Metrics
Prometheus or Grafana Alloy collecting cluster, app and business metrics with sensible labels.
- 02
Logs
Loki with structured logs, retention by importance and queries saved for common investigations.
- 03
Traces
OpenTelemetry and Tempo so you can follow a slow request across services.
- 04
Dashboards
A standard dashboard per service plus an overview your whole team can read.
- 05
Alerting that matters
Alerts on symptoms users feel, routed to Slack or email with runbook links, deduplication and suppression windows.
- 06
Cost control
Cardinality and log volume tuned so the monitoring bill stays predictable.
What you get at the end
- Metrics, logs and traces collected from every environment
- Dashboards for each critical service and a team overview
- Alert rules with owners, severities and runbook links
- SLOs for your most important user journeys
- Cardinality and retention settings that keep costs predictable
- Docs and a walkthrough on reading and extending it

Observability questions.
- Grafana Cloud or self hosted?
- Grafana Cloud if you want less to operate. Self hosted if data residency or very high volume makes it cheaper. I have run both.
- Our monitoring bill is already too high. Can you help?
- Yes. I cut a Grafana Cloud bill by about 71% by finding the metrics and logs driving growth and fixing them at the source.
- How is the price decided?
- After a short call I send a written scope and a fixed quote. No hourly surprises, and nothing starts until you have agreed the scope.
- Do you work with Datadog or New Relic?
- My focus is the Grafana stack and Application Insights. If you are on another vendor I can still design the alerting and dashboards.
