An internal developer platform your team will actually use.
A web portal on top of your Kubernetes and CI/CD where developers create services, deploy, read logs and roll back on their own. The guardrails are built in, so the platform team stops being a ticket queue.
Every deploy still goes through one person.
Tickets for everything
A new environment, a secret or a log query means a message to the DevOps engineer and a wait.
YAML nobody owns
Helm charts and manifests were copied between services and nobody wants to change them.
Slow onboarding
New developers need weeks and a pile of cluster access before they can ship a change.
No safe defaults
Each service sets its own resources, probes and alerts, so production behaves differently every time.
What the engagement covers.
- 01
Service catalog
One place listing every service, its owner, environments, health and recent deploys.
- 02
Golden path templates
New services start from a template with CI, Helm chart, probes, dashboards and alerts already wired.
- 03
Self service deploys
Pick a service and an environment, click deploy, and watch the rollout. One click to roll back.
- 04
Logs and metrics in context
Each service page links straight into its Grafana dashboards and Loki logs, scoped to that service.
- 05
Environments on demand
Short lived preview and test environments that clean themselves up when the branch is merged.
- 06
Guardrails and RBAC
Namespace scoped access, resource limits and policy checks enforced by the platform, not by review comments.
What you get at the end
- A running developer portal in your cloud, behind your SSO
- Service templates for your main languages and frameworks
- Deploy, rollback and environment workflows wired to your CI/CD
- Per service links to dashboards, logs and alerts
- RBAC model and policy checks documented for audits
- Admin runbook and a recorded walkthrough for your team

Platform questions.
- Do we need Backstage?
- Not necessarily. Backstage suits larger teams. For many startups a smaller custom portal on top of the Kubernetes API is faster to build and easier to keep alive. We pick on the discovery call.
- Will it work with our existing clusters and pipelines?
- Yes. The platform sits on top of what you already run. It calls your CI/CD and your clusters, it does not replace them.
- How is the price decided?
- After a short call I send a written scope and a fixed quote. No hourly surprises, and nothing starts until you have agreed the scope.
- Who maintains it afterwards?
- Your team, with docs and a walkthrough. The portal is plain code in your repository. A retainer is available if you want help evolving it.
