I build the platforms that let small teams ship like big ones.
I am Habib Qayoom, a DevOps and platform engineer. I run production Kubernetes for an AI SaaS platform today, and I help startups and SaaS teams get to a setup they understand, can afford and do not have to babysit.
How I work
Most teams I talk to do not need more tools. They need fewer surprises: releases that do not depend on one person, alerts that mean something and a bill that makes sense.
I work in your cloud accounts and repositories from day one, write everything as code and leave documentation your team will actually read. When the project ends, you own all of it.
I work remotely with UK and international teams and overlap comfortably with UK working hours. Email gets the fastest response.
Boring is the goal
A good platform makes releases and incidents uneventful. Clever is a cost.
Everything as code
Infrastructure, pipelines, dashboards and alerts live in Git with a review trail.
Fixed scope, fixed quote
You see the scope and the price before anything starts. No hourly surprises.
Handover is a deliverable
Runbooks, docs and a recorded walkthrough are part of every project, not an extra.
Where I've built.
Three roles, widening scope: from a first Dockerfile to owning production for an AI platform.

DevOps / Platform Engineer
- Run production infrastructure across four Azure AKS clusters, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, Key Vault and Blob Storage.
- Built 40+ Grafana Cloud dashboards and 30+ alert rules, plus a Loki to Slack alerting pipeline.
- Cut the Grafana Cloud bill by about 71% by fixing the root causes of metric and log growth.
- Engineered isolated Kubernetes workloads for browser automation agents and self hosted RAG on AKS.
- Drove ISO 27001:2022 evidence and remediation in Vanta.
- Jan 2025 to Aug 2025Code to Kloud

- Provisioned AWS VPCs and EKS clusters with Terraform, including IRSA, ALB Controller and EBS CSI.
- Built CI/CD for ECS Fargate and deployed EKS workloads with ArgoCD.
- Set up dev, staging and prod promotion with environment scoped approvals.
- Jun 2024 to Dec 2024Upvave
DevOps Intern, then Associate DevOps Engineer
- Built AWS networking with Terraform and deployed to EKS and ECS with GitHub Actions and CodePipeline, including blue/green deploys.
- Deployed Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and Fluent Bit across EKS and ECS.
